Pride and Protest

Pride and Protest

Rebellious and spirited, DJ Liza B. cares about three things: her family, her music, and her community. When property developer Dorsey Fitzgerald, the adopted Filipino son of a wealthy white family, steps on the scene with plans to gentrify her neighborhood, Liza organizes a protest at his housing development’s opening gala to put a stop to his plans. Having never met in person, she mistakes him for the waitstaff, bringing the bad blood between them to a boil.

They continue to run into each other at various events, both on opposite sides fighting for what they believe is right. But the fiery sparks between them have more to do with passion than hate, and soon the two must determine if their growing feelings for each other are strong enough to overcome the class and cultural differences between them.
